Tlaib, Muslim by faith, seeks a one state solution to the Israel / Palestine issue. Currently there’s a defacto three state solution.
Would a one state solution, which Tlaib seeks, overwhelm Israel akin to a lamb lead to slaughter? Given the numbers, yes.
Where were – and where are — all the Arabs and Muslims who could have ‘taken in’ other Muslim refugees then and now? Arabs and Muslims then and now are not known to ‘take in the stranger’. What say you?
We are taught that all cultures are equal, that they are all equally valuable. We are told that, despite creating the modern, technological world, western, capitalist, mostly white cultures are no better than Arab, Persian, or Islamic cultures anywhere else.
Welcome to the United Nations where magical thinking like this dominates. It’s what makes it difficult to determine whether the U.N. is a circus or an insane asylum.
Case in point; the U.N. Economic and Social Council voted 40-2 (with 9 abstentions) to single out the state of Israel as the only nation that violates women’s rights. Voting in the affirmative were countries where husbands have the “right” to rape and beat their wives (Saudi Arabia), stone women who commit adultery (Iran), and other Middle Eastern and African states where the unspeakable practice of female genital mutilation is routinely practiced and accepted.
Israel was singled out for allegedly being the “major obstacle” for Palestinian women “with regard to their advancement, self-reliance, and integration in the development of their society.”

Pnina Peri, visting prof at Univ. of Maryland & wife of well known Yoram Peri [ New Israel Fund] berates two men performing Jewish prayers at airport in Israel.
You-Tube has removed the video which shows Pnina Peri berating the two men. The above photo is all we can locate.
Pnina Peri’s husband, Yoram Peri, is director of the Gildenfhorn Institute which hired his wife Pnina Peri to come to Maryland as a visiting assistant professor.
Pnina Peri’s specialty is diversity training. Sounds like Pnina Peri could try to show some human kindness.
The May 30 cellphone video depicting a woman berating two Jewish men for performing a Jewish prayer at an airport would probably never have made news, let alone “gone viral,” were it not for a confluence of details that make the entire episode so bizarre.
It is peculiar that the location was Ben Gurion Airport in Israel, where Jews might believe they have a right to pray wherever they please. But the revelation that the perpetrator of the attack, Pnina Peri, is a professor of Israel studies made the scene incomprehensible for average viewers. For others it clarified everything. In the many articles about Peri’s bizarre outburst in Ben Gurion airport, she is referred to in virtually every one as “an expert in Multicultural studies.” If so, her behavior casts a pall over her expertise and calls into question the value of her chosen field. The video shows Peri shouting and berating a Chabad rabbi as he helps a fellow traveler put on tefillin (the leather straps and boxes containing scripture used in Jewish morning prayer). As the men perform their unobtrusive prayer ritual, Peri screams at them, “Move because you are bothering me” and bellows “Why are you doing this here? There are people here.”
If the video had ended there, or if she had walked away, Peri might still be unknown. What she did made her infamous: she laughed for a very long time at the men, up-close and in their faces. It was a chilling performance that has to be seen to be believed. Most accounts say that she “laughs mockingly,” but this is too mild. She derides the men in Hebrew, but her laugh transcends language. It is a taunting and cruel laugh, deliberate and prolonged.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei called Wednesday on the people of Muslim countries to defeat Israel.
“With an intense and planned struggle, they [Muslim countries] should force the enemy [Israel] to retreat toward the point of demise,” he said.
Any move to negotiate with Israel would be an “unforgivable mistake”, the cleric added, after Saudi Arabia’s crown prince said Israelis were entitled to live peacefully on their own land.
Supreme Leader Khamenei later tweeted, “On days when escalation of oppression & barbarism by the Zionists, in Gaza has saddened and angered those who care for Palestine, we reiterate the perpetual stance of the Islamic Republic regarding the issue of Palestine.
“The return of dignity and power to the Islamic nation is exclusively linked to resistance—while confronting arrogant powers and their wicked plots—and the issue of Palestine is at the top of Islam’s international agenda in the face of the arrogant front.”
