There is a Find A Therapist directory to assist. When I searched for “autism” only one name appeared. I would think that more than one psychologist does diagnosis and treatment of autism. Autism is a disorder that can be screened for accurately by 18 months. Probably “developmental disorders” will give you more choices of clinical psychologists who can assist you.

What is the difference between a psycho-therapist and a psychologist? Anybody can call them self a psycho-therapist. Santa Cruz abounds with persons who say that they are a therapist. There are no standards and no licensing board. There are therapists that work with crystals. Rocks. Smells. You name it.
Psychologistss are licensed just as doctors and psychiatrists are licensed. Ther training takes about as long to get licensed as a Ph.D. clinical psychologist as for MD’s.
